Airsoft facility to come before Moscow City Council
The Moscow City Council plans to discuss a proposal for an indoor airsoft facility at 105 Lauder Ave. Christopher King seeks to create a space for airsoft competitions, where participants can engage in shooting games with plastic projectiles. Existing city code prohibits discharging any weapons, including airsoft guns, within city limits, prompting King to request an exception for his business. Customers will be required to wear eye protection and have parental supervision if they are aged 10 to 16. The council has expressed concerns about the potential public perception of realistic-looking weapons in the parking lot.
King reassured that staff would ensure only airsoft guns are used on site. The council is expected to vote on the proposal next week. If approved, this facility could provide a new recreational option for residents.
