Moscow candidates talk housing, water and transportation

Candidates for the Moscow City Council emphasized housing and water availability during two public forums this week. Taruscio stressed the need for better communication with Latah County regarding the outdated jail facilities, which require significant upgrades.

The discussions also included enhancing multimodal transportation options, with candidates proposing more crosswalks and promoting bike safety. Holmes noted the changing demographics in Moscow necessitate addressing housing shortages. The candidates are preparing for the November 4 election, vying for three city council seats.
