Moscows KUID-TV to celebrate 60th anniversary
KUID-TV in Moscow marks its 60th anniversary with an event at the Kenworthy Performing Arts Centre on Monday at 6:30 p. m. The station, which began broadcasting on September 6, 1965, became part of Idaho Public Television's statewide network in 1982. The celebration features a panel of Idaho Public Television staff and University of Idaho faculty discussing their long-standing partnership. Additionally, the event acknowledges America250, a national observance of the United States' founding.
Attendees will hear from members of the America250 in Idaho Advisory Council, elected officials, and the USS Idaho Commissioning Committee. Highlights include a documentary excerpt about “America’s Sagebrush Navy” and a segment from Ken Burns’ new series, “The American Revolution. ” Advance registration is encouraged, but not mandatory.
