St. Joes announces purchase of Catalyst Medical Group
St. Joseph Regional Medical Center will acquire Catalyst Medical Group, with the transition expected to conclude in late 2025. Catalyst will operate independently until the merger is finalized, allowing patients to continue with their current providers. The acquisition includes Valley Medical Center and Lewiston Orthopedics, enhancing St. Joe's service offerings in cancer, maternity, heart and vascular, and other medical areas.
Dr. Angela Roth, president of CMG, stated that the merger will facilitate better care coordination. St. Joe's CEO Ed Freysinger highlighted the shared commitment to improving healthcare in Lewiston and the surrounding region. Catalyst Medical Group, formed in 2016, had 68 medical professionals at its inception.
The acquisition follows St. Joe's history of ownership changes, including a recent switch to for-profit status. This merger aims to foster growth and development in healthcare services.
