Shooting early Sunday morning leaves Pullman man injured
The Pullman Police Department is actively searching for 20-year-old Jakori C. Buchanan in connection with a shooting that occurred early Sunday morning. Police responded to the incident around 1:47 a. m. on Northwest Cottonwood Lane, where they found a 19-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to the abdomen.
The injured man, whose identity has not been released, is in stable condition and is expected to make a full recovery at Pullman Regional Hospital. Buchanan is described as 5-foot-7, 143 pounds, and last seen wearing a white shirt, blue jeans, and white shoes. He is believed to have left the scene in a grey 2025 Hyundai Sonata with Minnesota plates, possibly heading toward Seattle. Authorities have labeled him as armed and dangerous and are urging anyone with information to come forward. The shooting is considered an isolated incident, posing no ongoing threat to the public.
