Dayton man denies several drug charges
Dylan Huckaby, 28, pleaded not guilty to multiple drug charges on Friday in Whitman County Superior Court after his arrest for allegedly selling drugs to an undercover police officer. The investigation commenced when deputies created a covert Facebook profile to befriend Huckaby two years prior. Authorities arranged a drug transaction with Huckaby, which took place at a gas station in Dusty on September 7. During the operation, Huckaby was arrested with psilocybin mushrooms, LSD, MDMA, and a digital scale in his possession. He reportedly confessed to driving to Dusty specifically to sell drugs.
Huckaby faces four counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and is scheduled for trial in December. The case highlights ongoing efforts by law enforcement to combat drug sales in the region. Huckaby is currently out on bail after posting a bond.
