Celebrate Love participants living our best lives

Chroma L-C Valley hosted its seventh Celebrate Love event at Beachview Park, celebrating the resilience of the LGBTQ+ community. Organizer Myndie VanHorn established the event in 2016 to honor victims of the Pulse Nightclub shooting. Local vendors, musicians, and churches participated, emphasizing the importance of visibility and support for queer individuals. Kathy Sprague highlighted the significance of representation for youth, while Matthew Danielson shared his struggles with identity growing up in a fundamentalist church. He provided resources to help other Pride events grow in the region.

The family-friendly atmosphere included activities for children, fostering a sense of community. Attendees expressed gratitude for the inclusive environment, with local churches affirming their commitment to acceptance. This event illustrates the ongoing need for supportive spaces where LGBTQ+ individuals can connect and thrive.
