Arrest warrant issued for man suspected in attempted ATM burglary

The Whitman County Sheriff’s Office has identified Eric B. Wright, 42, as a suspect in an attempted ATM burglary in Uniontown. A warrant for his arrest was issued after investigators linked him to multiple vehicle thefts across the region. Deputies tracked Wright to a residence in Longview, Washington, where they discovered a stolen black Dodge Challenger and another stolen vehicle with a trailer, both linked to thefts committed in 2024. In addition to the ATM burglary, Wright faces multiple charges in Whitman and Latah counties for unrelated crimes and federal charges connected to a regional property crime spree.

The sheriff’s office confirmed that as of Friday afternoon, Wright has not been arrested. This case highlights ongoing issues related to vehicle theft and property crimes in the area.
