Pullman, WALocal News

Christian Forslof, 30, faces charges of second-degree murder and attempted murder following a shooting incident in Lapwai on Friday evening. He claims the unarmed victims threatened him after allegedly entering his property. Police discovered a woman dead from gunshot wounds and a man injured at the scene, who was later taken to St. Joseph Regional Medical Center. Forslof's fiance alerted law enforcement, stating that the victims might have broken into their shed.

During the confrontation, Forslof reportedly fired his weapon after perceiving the woman as approaching him aggressively. The investigation indicates that the victims did not possess any weapons. Local authorities have not released the victims' names as they await family notifications. The case raises questions about property rights and self-defense laws in the region.
