Spokane Street project end date receives continued push back

Pullman, WALocal News

The Spokane Street piping project, which commenced on May 5, may extend its road closure until the end of October due to unforeseen complications. Facilities Project Manager Louise Sweeney indicated that the project was originally expected to finish by early August. However, challenges with the aged piping and tunnel crossings have delayed progress. This project is vital for resolving hydraulic issues impacting several buildings, including Dana, Carpenter, and Sloan Halls. Construction crews will perform tie-ins during the day, leading to temporary cooling service interruptions for affected facilities.

Lease Crutcher Lewis oversees the project, primarily executed by local subcontractor Motley Inc. The final phase includes repaving, which could take an additional 10 days. Regular updates and assessments are conducted to manage the project's timeline and community impact effectively.
