All the top rodeo pros are expected to appear in Lewiston Roundup
The Lewiston Roundup, starting this week, anticipates the participation of top rodeo professionals, driven by a record $15,000 in added money per event. The "slack" performance begins Tuesday morning, followed by evening shows from Wednesday through Saturday. Denny Jones, president of the Roundup board, highlighted the role of sponsors in increasing these funds, which helps the event remain competitive in the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association circuit. The Roundup aims to solidify its position among the top 60 rodeos, crucial for contestants seeking points in the season-long competition. The Cowboy Channel will air Wednesday's Xtreme Bulls competition live, with other performances broadcast on a two-hour delay.
The event will also introduce an adaptive rodeo for children with special needs, promoting inclusivity in the community. Tickets are available online and at the venue, with an extra charge for same-day purchases. New bucking chutes, funded by a $75,000 grant, have also been installed to enhance animal safety.
