Workers Over Billionaires protests planned Monday at Clarkston, Moscow

On Labor Day, protests titled “Workers Over Billionaires” will occur in Clarkston and Moscow, organized by May Day Strong. The Clarkston event is set for 11 a. m. to 1 p. m.

near Vernon Park at Sixth and Chestnut streets, while the Moscow gathering will take place from noon to 1 p. m. at Friendship Square, 101-155 W. Fourth St. The AFL-CIO promotes nearly 1,000 protests across the nation, indicating a significant mobilization for labor rights.

This movement seeks to highlight the increasing wealth gap between workers and billionaires, emphasizing the importance of fair wages and working conditions. Local involvement in these protests reflects community concerns over economic inequality. The events aim to amplify the voices of workers advocating for their rights and interests.
