WSU police respond to possible weapons threat
The Washington State University Police Department responded to a report of a possible weapon threat at the Courtyard by Marriott in Pullman early Sunday morning. A woman contacted police after her son, who was staying at the hotel, indicated that someone with a gun was in his room. Officers arrived and found the man uncooperative, leading to the deployment of a stun gun for his arrest. Authorities searched the room and confirmed that no firearms or additional individuals were present. The man, not affiliated with the university, was taken to Pullman Regional Hospital for evaluation.
The incident highlights the ongoing concern over safety in public spaces. Local police departments frequently conduct training for such situations to ensure swift and safe responses. The Pullman Police Department and Pullman Fire Department supported the WSU police during this incident.
