Person attempts ATM burglary in Uniontown

A suspect attempted to break into an ATM at the Freedom Northwest Credit Union in Uniontown on Sunday morning. Deputies responded to the scene on South Montgomery Street at approximately 7 a. m. The individual attempted to access the machine using power tools but did not succeed in obtaining any cash. Sgt.

Michael Jordan reported that the suspect was driving a black Dodge Challenger, prompting the Whitman County Sheriff’s Office to seek public assistance in identifying him. Residents are encouraged to report any relevant information by calling (509) 397-6266. This incident highlights ongoing concerns regarding the security of ATMs in the area.
