Lemonade stand and baked goods sale Wednesday in Pullman will benefit the Make-A-Wish group

Pullman, WALocal News

Shay Connell will host a lemonade stand and baked goods sale on Wednesday from 2-6 p. m. at 720 SW. Finch Way in Pullman, with proceeds benefiting the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Since beginning their efforts in 2018, Shay and her friends have raised over $100,000 for the organization, inspired by Shay's own experience receiving a wish in 2017.

This year, they aim to raise $20,000, showcasing the significant impact community support can have on children's lives. Online donations are available via a specific link, and those interested in volunteering or donating baked goods can reach out via email. Shay's initiative emphasizes the importance of giving back, especially for those who understand the challenges faced by children with critical health issues. The event not only provides a fun activity for the community but also fosters awareness for the Make-A-Wish Foundation's mission. Local residents are encouraged to participate and support this noble cause.

Community efforts like Shay’s are vital in ensuring that more children can experience the joy of a wish come true.
