Two plead not guilty in separate Latah County rape cases

Pullman, WALocal News

In Latah County District Court, Walker Day and Cherokee Glover, both 25, pleaded not guilty to separate rape charges. Day was arrested in April after allegedly raping a woman and recording the act at a friend's residence in Juliaetta. He faces charges of rape and video voyeurism, with Deputy Prosecutor Keith Scholl indicating he could receive a maximum sentence of life in prison. Glover is accused of raping a 14-year-old girl, also in April, and pleaded not guilty during his arraignment. Investigators interviewed both the alleged victim and Glover, who reportedly admitted to having sex with the girl multiple times.

A psychosexual evaluation has been ordered in Glover's case to assess any psychological implications. The outcomes of these cases may have significant implications for local community safety and legal precedents regarding sexual offenses. Both defendants remain in custody as legal proceedings continue.
