UI student spends 2025 summer at Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown
Isabelle Monk, a junior marketing and public relations student at the University of Idaho, interned at the National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, N. Y. , this summer. Her responsibilities included planning and coordinating the Hall of Fame Weekend, which drew approximately 30,000 fans to the small town of 2,000 residents. Monk described the experience as "unforgettable," emphasizing the excitement surrounding the induction of baseball legends like Ichiro Suzuki and CC Sabathia.
She noted how fans eagerly staked out spots for the parade, demonstrating their passion for the sport. Monk also co-emceed the All-Star Gala, which showcased major baseball stars. This internship was a significant milestone for her, as she had only traveled as far east as Indiana prior to this summer. She expressed gratitude for the learning opportunities and experiences gained throughout her time at the Hall of Fame.
