Moscow man reaches plea agreement for possessing child pornography

Pullman, WALocal News

Nathanael Jensen, 25, has agreed to plead guilty to one count of possession of child pornography in Idaho’s U. S. District Court. The plea agreement includes the dismissal of two additional charges related to distribution and receipt of child pornography. Jensen faces a potential prison sentence of up to 10 years for this federal crime.

The case originated from a multiagency investigation initiated by cybertips received by the Moscow Police Department. Officers executed a search warrant during a traffic stop and discovered child pornography on Jensen's phone. Following this, the Latah Regional SWAT Team arrested him, and he was booked into the Latah County Jail. Initially charged in the Latah County 2nd District Court, the case was elevated to federal jurisdiction when Jensen was indicted by the U. S.

Department of Justice in February. This case underscores ongoing efforts to combat child exploitation and the importance of law enforcement collaboration.
