Moscow, Deary historic buildings honored

The 1912 Center and Deary Mercantile have been nominated for the Orchids and Onions Awards, honoring their contributions to historic preservation. The 1912 Center received its nomination for the renovation of its second-floor event space, which was completed in 2022 and enhances its utility for community events. The Deary Mercantile, built in 1926, has a rich history as a local store and gathering space. Following its purchase in 2023, the building underwent a transformation into the Deary Butcher Shop, emphasizing adaptive reuse of historic structures.
