Parade, music and food today at Troy

Troy's Old Timer’s Day offers community festivities today, beginning with a 6 a. m. pancake and sausage breakfast at City Park. The parade starts at 10 a. m.

on Main Street, welcoming decorated bikes, tractors, and horses. Registration for the parade occurs from 8:30 to 9:30 a. m. Additional activities include a buffalo burger lunch, a cornhole tournament, a car show, and children's games. Attendees can also enjoy live music and food from various food trucks.

Addie Swanson, 96, who has volunteered extensively in the community, is recognized as the grand marshal for her service. Marie Vogel from the Troy Lions Club encourages attendees to donate money and nonperishable food items to the Troy Food Bank booth. This event fosters community spirit and supports local initiatives, enhancing Troy's cultural identity.
