UIs Residence Hall Association wins top national award

The University of Idaho's Residence Hall Association was recognized as the 2025 School of the Year by the National Association of College and University Residence Halls, standing out among over 400 colleges nationwide. This award reflects the RHA's dedication to enhancing student engagement, campus involvement, and residential programming. To boost participation, the RHA restructured its operational model, leading to more efficient meetings and improved communication. The organization successfully hosted over 30 student programs, including the annual Tower Trick-or-Treat at Theophilus Tower. Notably, individual members received accolades at the NACURH conference, with Claire Gorham named National Professional Staff Member of the Year.

Additionally, Claire Westby was recognized for her significant contributions to student leadership on a national level. This achievement underscores the RHA's impact on the student community at the University of Idaho. The recognition positions the university as a leader in fostering a vibrant residential experience for students.

Longfellow, who died on July 15, was a two-time Lewiston Roundup Saddle Bronc champion.
