Philadelphia, PALocal News

Chef Elijah Milligan will open Lovechild this fall at 990 Spring Garden St. , taking over the former space of The Lucky Well. The restaurant will showcase a globally influenced menu with a focus on Japanese and Mexican cuisine, featuring dishes cooked on an Argentinian wood-fired grill. Milligan, with experience from esteemed kitchens, seeks to create a neighborhood gem that resonates with his life as a single father. The bar program will include 3 to 4 rotating clarified cocktails each month, enhancing the dining experience.

Milligan intends to source ingredients locally, except for wine, which will emphasize California and European vintages. His culinary journey includes notable establishments like Atelier Crenn in San Francisco and a dedication to promoting chefs of color through his Cooking for the Culture initiative.
