Philadelphia's Department of Records will implement fee increases starting July 1, 2025, affecting several property transaction costs. Document recording fees will rise by $3, with new rates set at $277. 75 for deeds and $245. 75 for mortgage assignments. Additionally, the realty transfer tax will increase from 3.

278% to 3. 578%. The fee adjustments aim to generate funds for affordable housing projects, including support for first-time homebuyers and the creation of new housing units. This initiative is part of Mayor Parker's H. O.

M. E. plan, a $2 billion program designed to create and preserve 30,000 housing units over the next four years.
