Celebrating the First Graduates of City College for Municipal Employment

Philadelphia celebrated the graduation of the first cohort from the City College for Municipal Employment (CCME) on May 29, 2025, marking a significant milestone in the city's workforce initiatives. Launched in October 2024, CCME offers free skills-based training programs aimed at helping residents advance in high-demand career fields. This spring, 24 graduates completed their training in Business Administration, Technology, and Skilled Trades. The program also includes additional offerings in Healthcare, Public Safety, and STEM. CCME supports participants with comprehensive services, including coaching and financial incentives, to eliminate barriers to success.

The City praised the graduates for their commitment to the program and their roles in shaping its future. Officials aim to continue expanding the initiative, creating more pathways for career growth in Philadelphia. This effort represents a broader strategy to enhance economic opportunities for local residents.
