A survey conducted by Talker Research found that 55% of football fans want the Monday following the Super Bowl to be a national holiday. This decision highlights the local schools' efforts to accommodate community sentiments regarding the Super Bowl. The announcement comes as many Eagles fans plan to stay up late to watch the game.

The delayed start aims to ease the transition back to school for students after the festivities.
