Most storm activity is expected during the peak months of August, September, and October. The Philadelphia Office of Emergency Management (OEM) warns that severe weather can impact areas far from the coast, urging residents to prepare. Director Dominick Mireles stresses that preparedness leads to safer communities, highlighting the city's updated Hazard Mitigation Plan and the 2025 Severe Weather Plan. The OEM's Regional Integration Center will track storms and communicate with the National Weather Service to keep residents informed.
