The Philadelphia City Planning Commission is launching an initiative to update its Comprehensive Plan, known as Philadelphia2050, to incorporate community feedback and address urban challenges. The Commission will assess previous recommendations, analyze current conditions, and employ a robust engagement strategy to gather input from residents. Community Partners will play a crucial role in this process, receiving compensation and training through the Citizens Planning Institute to enhance their skills in data collection and analysis. They will facilitate community activities to ensure diverse voices are heard and incorporated into the plan. A virtual info session on May 15, 2025, will provide details on how to participate.

Applications are due by May 30, 2025, allowing residents and organizations to contribute to the city's future. This initiative aims to create a comprehensive vision for Philadelphia that resonates with its residents' needs and aspirations. The successful implementation of Philadelphia2050 could significantly shape city policies and community development for years to come.
