Cuba Libre celebrates 25 years with deliciously affordable tasting experience

Cuba Libre Restaurant & Rum Bar, a popular Cuban destination in Philadelphia, celebrates its 25th anniversary with a $49 tasting menu featuring ten dishes, including ropa vieja and tres leches cake. Opened in 2000, the restaurant seeks to rekindle memories with original menu items offered at their launch prices. Principal and co-founder Barry Gutin highlighted the accomplishment of maintaining a vibrant restaurant concept for 25 years. The tasting menu aims to provide a generous amount of food for a reasonable price, with an optional $20 beverage pairing. Monthly rotating specials will feature different appetizers and entrées, such as chicharrones and arroz con pollo, maintaining a connection to Cuba Libre's culinary history.

The anniversary menu is available for dinner reservations Sundays through Thursdays across all four locations. Founded by two-time James Beard award-winner Guillermo Pernot, the restaurant embodies the spirit of Cuba through its food and ambiance. Diners can also enjoy a full dinner and brunch menu featuring dishes like crab guacamole and paella, enhancing their experience at the restaurant.
