The Office of the Victim Advocate (OVA) in Philadelphia celebrated the launch of its Victim Services Advisory Commission alongside National Crime Victims’ Rights Week, which takes place each year from April 6 to April 12. The event featured city officials and advocates who discussed pressing issues faced by victims of crime and their families. Mayor Cherelle L. Parker highlighted the importance of collaboration in creating a more supportive environment for those affected by violence. Victim Advocate Adara Combs shared the office's accomplishments since its 2022 inception, including innovative programs designed to assist victims.

Notable achievements included a comprehensive relocation program for victims and a pioneering crime scene cleanup initiative.
