8 wounded in weekend violence – Metro Philadelphia

A weekend of violence in Philadelphia left at least eight people injured from shootings and stabbings, prompting police investigations across several neighborhoods. On Sunday morning, a 43-year-old woman was seriously hurt after being stabbed during a robbery in Harrowgate, while two men suffered stab wounds at a residence in Point Breeze. In Tacony, two women were treated for nonlife-threatening injuries after being stabbed late Saturday night. Police found a 38-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his back in Kingsessing, who was later reported to be in stable condition. A separate incident in West Philadelphia left a 26-year-old man in critical condition after he was shot multiple times.

No arrests have been made in connection to any of the incidents, and the police continue to investigate. Authorities are urging anyone with information to contact the Philadelphia Police Department. Victims and their families are also encouraged to seek support services available for those affected by gun violence.
