Register Of Wills Sabatina Announces Veteran Suit and Dress Drive To Support Philadelphia Veterans

Philadelphia, PALocal News

The Office of the Register of Wills in Philadelphia will hold a Veteran Suit & Dress Drive on November 20th from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at The First African Baptist Church. This initiative, led by Register of Wills John Sabatina, calls for donations of new or gently used professional attire to assist local veterans re-entering the workforce. “A single suit or dress can open a door—and we want to help open as many doors as possible,” said Sabatina. The drive aims to provide veterans with the clothing needed for job interviews and formal events, supporting their transition to civilian life after service. The office has a history of community outreach programs that uplift various groups, including veterans.

Donations will be accepted on-site, and participation from community members and organizations is encouraged. Speakers at the event include Sabatina and Pastor Quincy C. Hobbs, Jr. , a decorated Army veteran. These efforts highlight the importance of community support for veterans as they navigate employment challenges.
