Philadelphia's One Philly, United City Cleaning Program kicks off its fall edition on November 3, 2025, aiming to address chronic cleanliness issues citywide over a 13-week period. Since June 2024, the program has made significant strides, cleaning over 50,000 blocks and installing more than 43,000 LED lights. The initiative, which has completed over 200,000 quality-of-life services, involves collaboration among numerous city departments and nonprofit organizations. The Sanitation Department will spearhead the cleaning efforts, deploying teams equipped with various tools to clear litter and debris. Additionally, the program includes maintenance of vacant lots, graffiti removal, and cleaning of public spaces.

Mayor Parker’s vision emphasizes transforming Philadelphia into the safest and cleanest big city, with equitable access to economic opportunities. Establishing this program as standard operating procedure for biannual cleanings reflects a commitment to improving urban living conditions. The coordinated efforts of city workers and agencies underscore the importance of community engagement in achieving these goals.
