Apply for funding to support Philadelphia residents through the One Philly SNAP Support Program

Philadelphia, PALocal News

In response to a lapse in SNAP benefits and the federal government shutdown, Philadelphia has introduced the One Philly SNAP Support Program to assist residents in need. The program has dedicated $2 million to support organizations that provide healthy, culturally appropriate food to those experiencing food insecurity. Grants range from $5,000 to $50,000, with applications opening on November 3, 2025, and closing at 5:00 p. m. on November 5, 2025.

Award recipients are required to submit weekly reports detailing food distribution metrics, ensuring transparency and efficient use of funds. The Health Department will hold virtual office hours to address any questions related to the grant application process. This initiative seeks to improve food access and offer emergency rental assistance, thereby alleviating the challenges faced by vulnerable populations in the city. The focus on culturally appropriate food highlights the program's commitment to meeting the diverse needs of Philadelphia's residents.
