Fall Happens here with Love Your Park Week!

Philadelphia, PALocal News

Love Your Park Fall Week is set to engage Philadelphians from November 8 to 16, with a focus on preparing over 100 parks for winter. The main event at Gorgas Park on November 15 will feature tree planting and litter cleanup, welcoming volunteers of all experience levels. Participants will receive tools and materials, making it easy to contribute to the community. This initiative highlights the collaborative efforts of Philadelphia Parks & Recreation, Fairmount Park Conservancy, and the Park Friends Network in maintaining the city's green spaces. The event not only fosters community spirit but also addresses environmental stewardship.

Last year, similar events saw participation from hundreds of volunteers, showcasing the community's commitment to its parks. Residents unable to attend Gorgas Park can find volunteer opportunities at numerous parks across the city. For more information, visit the Love Your Park website to discover ways to get involved.
