Better Services PHL is making City services easier to use

Philadelphia, PALocal News

Philadelphia's Better Services PHL initiative, launched in January 2025, focuses on enhancing city services for residents. The Office of the Chief Administrative Officer spearheads the initiative, which has spent its first six months establishing service standards and identifying priority projects. Key initiatives include improving access to healthcare information through a revamped Primary Care Finder tool and simplifying residential permitting for homeowners. Other projects aim to enhance flood risk information access and facilitate block party permit applications for neighborhood safety. The initiative also seeks to improve internal systems, such as combining tax assistance applications for easier access.

As it enters its second year, the team is committed to refining and expanding projects that matter most to residents. The overarching goal is to create services that are easier, faster, and more accessible for all Philadelphians. This initiative reflects a broader commitment to improving local governance and community engagement.
