Philadelphia, PALocal News

The Philadelphia Department of Records will start accepting credit and debit cards for in-person services on September 29, 2025, marking a significant change for residents. The department will also allow credit and debit card payments for obtaining real estate document copies and accessing City Archives services, making transactions more streamlined.

Additionally, the PhilaDox online database will receive a modern upgrade, enhancing usability for property research. Users will still access the same functionalities while enjoying a more intuitive interface. The dual improvements aim to significantly ease the process of handling essential document needs in Philadelphia. These enhancements reflect the department's commitment to improving customer experience and service efficiency.
