La Ciudad de Filadelfia lanza una solicitud combinada para programas de alivio contributivo

Philadelphia, PALocal News

Filadelfia introduced a bilingual combined application for five property tax relief programs, making it easier for homeowners to apply for financial assistance. This initiative stems from the Better Services PHL initiative, launched by Mayor Cherelle Parker, aimed at enhancing city services. The application consolidates programs such as the Homestead Exemption and the Low-Income Tax Freeze, each with specific eligibility requirements. Mayor Parker highlighted the city's dedication to improving services for all residents, advocating for a more efficient application process. Finance Commissioner Kathleen McColgan mentioned that nearly 80% of homeowners take advantage of available programs, emphasizing the need for better outreach and participation.

The combined application is accessible through the Philadelphia Tax Center, which supports mobile devices. This project aligns with the Department of Finance's budget goals for fiscal year 2026 and is part of the One Philly 2. 0 budget. Homeowners can begin using the combined application by visiting the Philadelphia Tax Center online.
