Video shows woman being shot at, chased down in Olney

Detectives seek public assistance to identify a gunman who fired 10 shots at a woman during rush hour in Olney. The incident occurred just before 7 a. m. on September 15, with the victim, a local resident in her 30s or 40s, unharmed. Police Captain John Craig labeled the lack of injuries a “miracle.

” Surveillance footage shows the suspect exiting a black Nissan Juke and pursuing the woman down N. Lawrence Street while firing shots. The gunman is described as approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall, of medium to stocky build, and was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and white gloves. Authorities have not yet determined a motive or whether the woman knew her attacker. The police emphasize the importance of community assistance in solving this case.
