Manayunk Restaurant Week Returns After 5 Years With 20 Dining Deals This September

Philadelphia, PALocal News

Manayunk Restaurant Week will return from September 8 to 14 after a five-year absence, featuring 20 local restaurants with three-course menus priced from $15 to $45. According to Gwen McCauley, Executive Director of the Manayunk Development Corporation, the event celebrates the area's rich culinary landscape and supports local chefs. Participating restaurants will offer a variety of cuisines, including American comfort food, Thai, Italian, and Mediterranean, along with special beverage options. Brendan McGrew of Voracious Hospitality Group noted that this collective marketing strategy allows restaurants to showcase their strengths without direct competition. For example, Bar Jawn will present a $35 dinner option, while Blondie will offer a two-course experience for $15.

The event's goal is to attract visitors to Manayunk and enhance community ties through dining experiences. Historical records indicate that the last Restaurant Week occurred five years ago, highlighting the anticipation of this event. As the community gears up for the fall season, the event promises to be a significant boost for local businesses.
