Dog Day of Summer returns to Manayunk with paws, pints and plenty of fun

Manayunk will host its Dog Day of Summer on August 16, from 11 a. m. to 4 p. m. , celebrating the local canine community with various activities along Main Street.

Attendees can explore a range of vendors, enjoy giveaways, and meet adoptable pets, fostering a lively atmosphere for animal lovers. New this year, the Yards Pints and Paws Passport offers participants discounts at local bars while they collect stamps for dog-themed prizes. The expanded “Paws for Cause” initiative will feature a three-day live broadcast aimed at helping pets find homes and raising funds for the PSPCA. Other attractions include Yappy Hour, dog meet-and-greets, and a raffle, ensuring fun for all ages. This event has become a beloved tradition in the neighborhood, reflecting Manayunk’s commitment to its growing canine community.

Entry is free, with food and drink available for purchase, making it accessible for families. The celebration will take place in various downtown locations, enhancing community engagement and support for local businesses.
