Kai Moore, a recent graduate from Lincoln University, is interning with the City of Philadelphia as part of the Mayor’s Internship Program. Her journey began in the Office of Talent and Employee Success, where she created surveys and newsletters, enhancing her public speaking and organizational skills. Moore later shadowed the lead pathologist at the Medical Examiner’s Office, gaining insights into the workings of different city departments. Currently, she assists in Human Resources, where she interviews employees and creates videos showcasing various city roles and their community impact. This internship has illuminated how minor governmental decisions can foster significant change within the community.

As a proud member of the Uptown Philly community, Moore expresses gratitude for the connections and lessons learned during her internship. The Mayor’s Internship Program aims to cultivate future leaders by providing real-world experiences in city governance. Moore’s journey exemplifies the program's commitment to investing in the futures of young adults.
