Kai Moore, a proud graduate of Lincoln University, is making an impact as an intern with the City of Philadelphia through the Mayor’s Internship Program. Initially placed in the Office of Talent and Employee Success, she engaged in creating surveys, newsletters, and participated in significant meetings. Moore had the unique opportunity to shadow the lead pathologist at the Medical Examiner's Office, gaining insights into various departmental operations. Now in Human Resources, she assists in interviewing employees and producing videos that highlight the community impact of their roles. Her internship experience has been pivotal, demonstrating how small decisions within local government can lead to substantial community change.

Moore appreciates the dedication of city staff toward youth development and the professional growth of interns. As she concludes her internship, she carries invaluable lessons and connections that will guide her future endeavors. The Mayor’s Internship Program underscores the importance of youth engagement in local governance.
