Parker Administration Welcomes New Appointments to Key City Leadership Positions

Mayor Cherelle L. Parker appointed ten new senior officials to critical departments in Philadelphia, furthering her administration's commitment to community needs and city enhancement. Kehinde “Kenny” Solanke, with over two decades of service in Philadelphia, will lead the Department of Behavioral Health and Intellectual disAbility Services, focusing on behavioral health and substance use disorder services. Renee Chenault Fattah, an experienced attorney and former NBC10 news co-anchor, will direct the Philadelphia Commission on Human Relations, aiming to combat discrimination and build stronger communities. Charlie Elison, with a background in public service and immigration affairs, will head the Office of Immigrant Affairs.

Donna Jackson Stephans, transitioning from her role in Airport DEI, will serve as Interim Chief Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Officer. Mayor Parker emphasized the importance of recruiting the right talent to address significant challenges facing the city, including civil rights and wellness. These appointments reflect a strategic approach to improving the quality of life in Philadelphia.
