Mayors Internship Program (MIP) Spotlight Kai Moore

Kai Moore, a graduate of Lincoln University, engages in the Mayor’s Internship Program with the City of Philadelphia, where she has taken on various roles across multiple departments. Initially placed in the Office of Talent and Employee Success, she created surveys and newsletters while also practicing public speaking and attending important meetings. Moore later shadowed a lead pathologist at the Medical Examiner’s Office, gaining insight into departmental operations. Currently, she is in the Human Resources department, where she conducts employee interviews and creates informative videos. Throughout her internship, she has encountered a community of dedicated city employees focused on local growth and the professional development of young adults.

This experience has underscored the significance of government decisions in effecting real change in the community. Moore leaves her internship with valuable lessons and connections that will continue to shape her future. The Mayor’s Internship Program highlights the city’s commitment to nurturing young talent.
