Kai Moore, who graduated with a bachelor’s degree in health science from Lincoln University, is interning with the City of Philadelphia through the Mayor’s Internship Program. Her role began in the Office of Talent and Employee Success, where she created surveys and newsletters, enhancing her public speaking and organizational skills. During her internship, Moore shadowed professionals, including the lead pathologist at the Medical Examiner’s Office, gaining insight into the inner workings of city departments. She now contributes to the Human Resources department, helping interview employees and producing videos that highlight the importance of various city roles. Moore's experience illustrates how minor government decisions can lead to meaningful changes in the community.

The internship has allowed her to connect with dedicated city employees focused on fostering young talent. As her internship concludes, she reflects on the invaluable lessons and connections that will shape her future endeavors. Moore represents the impact of community involvement and the importance of internships in career development.
