Free two-day health clinic coming to West Philly

Philadelphia, PALocal News

Remote Area Medical (RAM) will host a free two-day health clinic in West Philadelphia on August 16-17, in partnership with the Philadelphia Sheriff’s Office. The clinic doors will open at 6 a. m. at the School of the Future, offering dental, vision, and general medical services without requiring ID or insurance. Sheriff Rochelle Bilal highlighted the event's role in reinforcing community wellness and access to critical services.

Patients are encouraged to arrive early, as services will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis and may need to select between dental or vision services due to capacity limits. RAM's mission focuses on bridging the healthcare access gap, as millions lack necessary medical care. The clinic will provide various services, including dental cleanings, eye exams, and women’s health exams. Organizers note that clinic hours may vary based on daily capacity, particularly on Sunday.
