In recent years, Mac's hosted promotional events for Four Walls Whiskey, a product born from the collaboration of McElhenney and his co-stars. The tavern's location at 226 Market St.

has a rich history, previously home to Anthony's Olde City Pub and Skinner's Tavern. The owners stated that while the physical bar may close, their gratitude towards the community will endure. The closure marks the end of a notable chapter for both the bar and its dedicated patrons. Mac's Tavern had established itself as a beloved gathering place, fostering a vibrant community atmosphere.
