Kaleidoscope Cove exhibit explores the ocean through color

The Camden Adventure Aquarium's Kaleidoscope Cove exhibit opens on June 28, featuring over 100 aquatic species, many of which are new to the venue. This ambitious renovation focuses on vibrant colors and bioluminescence, creating an engaging environment for visitors. Executive Director Jennifer Porter states that the design prioritizes guest interaction, integrating immersive elements that inspire curiosity about the ocean. Key attractions include a giant interactive light wall and a digital “Draw Alive” mural, where guests can create sea creatures that animate in real-time. Creative Director Mallory Hall emphasizes a shift from traditional aquarium experiences to one that invites exploration and learning through play.

The Cove's diverse species are organized by color, encouraging a fresh perspective on marine life. The exhibit also includes educational content about bioluminescence and the role of light in ocean environments. Kaleidoscope Cove aims to connect guests of all ages with the ocean, fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation for marine ecosystems.
