American Legion Post 249 donated $1,000 to Deacon Jim of Saint Peter the Apostle Church for Operation Chill-Out, a nonprofit that provides cold-weather essentials to homeless veterans. This donation was part of a pancake breakfast fundraiser held on November 16, which aims to strengthen community bonds in Parsippany. “Our mission is to support veterans not just in words, but in action,” said a Post member, emphasizing the importance of direct assistance. The next pancake breakfast is set for December 7, where attendees are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy or a $6 donation for the Toys for Tots drive. In return, guests will enjoy a free breakfast.
