New Jersey Blood Services will host a community blood drive on September 9 at Parsippany PAL, from 8:30 a. m. to 2:30 p. m. This initiative aims to assist patients suffering from sickle cell disease and other critical health issues, with organizers noting that a single donation can save up to three lives.

Donors will receive refreshments throughout the day, and while appointments are encouraged, walk-ins are also accepted. To qualify, participants must be at least 17 years old, present photo identification, and meet specific weight and health criteria. Organizer Kristen Kreutter urges the Parsippany community to come together to support patients in need. The event underscores the ongoing need for blood donations, especially for those battling severe medical conditions. The next scheduled blood drive at Parsippany PAL will occur on December 2, 2025.
